Andhra Royyala Koora

My Special Royyala Koora
List of ingredients
1 pound of Large Shrimp ( Royyalu )
1 Large Onion
3 Large Green Chilies
1 Large Tomato
2 long Cinnamon sticks ( Dalchini Chekka)
4 Cardamom ( Yalukalu)
1 table spoon of Poppy Seeds ( Gasagasalu)
4 Cloves ( Lavangalu)
2 Table spoons of Dry grated Coconut (Kobari )
1 table spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
Cayenne Pepper ( Karam ) as per your spice level
Salt to Taste
5 teaspoons of Olive Oil(healthy Option & it adds great taste )
Pinch of Oregano
Cilantro ( Kotimeera) { as much as you need }

Preparation
Step 1 : Clean the Shrimp ( remove the shell and tail )
Devein (removal of the gastrointestinal tract of a shrimp) the shrimp
Wash the shrimp with turmeric and water ( that really takes the smell off )
Step 2 : Cut the Green Chillies , Onion , Tomato
Step 3: Grind all the masala Items.
Step 4: Heat olive oil in a pan
Step 5 : Add the cut Green Chilli to the Olive Oil and let it turn Brown


Step 6: Add the finely chopped Onion, let them cook till they are golden brown.

Step : 7 Now Add the Chopped Tomato and let it cook.


Mean while you can chop the Cilantro

Step 8: Add all the Masala powder , Poppy Seed Powder and coconut Powder

Give it a good stir and let it cook for a few minutes.

I chopped the curry leaves too as it brings in more flavour.
I wish you can smell this when the spices were added .Its already tummy filling.


Step 9 : Add the Cleaned Shrimp to the Pan.

Step 10 :Stir up the contents of the pan and Shrimp and let it cook

The shrimp Slowluy changes color as its cooking.


Step 11 : Once the shrimp is cooked well and the gravy is thickening add the chopped cilantro

Stir it up and let cook for another 2 minutes.

Step ready : Shrimp Curry is now ready to eat .

Enjoy your Shrimp with some Hot white Rice

Junior NTR’s new film Kantri is now in the final stage of production. Hansika Motwani is the heroine. Mehar Ramesh is debuting as director with this film.

Ashwni Dutt is producing the film on the Vyjayanthi Movie banner. The film has also been shot in South Africa.

Coming to the features of NTR, it is known that Jr NTR lost about 24 kilos for his role in Yamadonga. Director SS Rajamouli insisted that NTR should lose weight to fit the role in the film. His new looks have received mixed response from the audience.

NTR has now lost another 7 kilos for his role in Kantri. He now looks very lean and weak. While many of his fans are not happy at the slim and thin NTR, the actor believes that his fans will actually love him in his new avatar in Kantri. The verdict will be out in April when the film hits the screens.

Andhra – Tomato Pachadi

Ingredients:
2 Large tomatoes
1/2 onion, sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
5 green chillies {I like mine spicy } Chop Fine
salt to taste
Red Chilli Pepper.
1 tbsp oil

For the tempering or poppu
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds (only if desired)
1/2 tsp split gram dal
curry leaves (desired )
Preparation :
1 Heat a few tsp of oil in a non-stick pan.
2.Add the cumin and/or Mustard Seeds let them spiltter.
3.Add the green chillis and saute for a few seconds,
4.Add the sliced onion and saute for couple of minutes .
5. In the same pan, add the chopped tomatoes and on medium flame saute till the tomatoes cook .
6.Soak the gram dal for a few minutes and microwave for a minute.
7. Add the gram dal to the tomato mix in the pan and stir.
8.Add salt , Red chilli pepper
9.Finally add the chopped coriander and saute for another minute.

Your delicious tomato pachadi is now ready

Serve with Dosa, Idli or Hot rice .
