British tabloids have featured a photo of the French first lady posing in the nude and which is up for sale at a Christie’s auction but there’s no denying that Mrs Sarkozy, who comes from a wealthy Italian industrialist family and who speaks 5 languages fluently, is said to be well versed in French literature and philosophy, is a beautiful sight to behold as this AP photo by Philippe Wojazer of her shows. The photo was taken during a state dinner at the Elysee Palace earlier this month. I don’t believe any first lady or prime minister’s wife of any nation anywhere in the world can compete with her in that area — definitely not the dowdy British cabinet wives.

In 1997 Carla decided to be a model slash something and devoted herself to music releasing two widely successful albums before marrying Sarkozy. Her first lady status didn’t compromise her career though.
She released her third album Comme Si de rien n’etait (As If Nothing Happened) in July 2008 although word is Carla’s man boosted album sales by slipping copies of the CD in Ministry of Agriculture gift bags. Swiss pediatrician Beat Richner, who heads up the children’s medical care group, refused the donation money, which was raised at a Christie’s auction in NYC last week because Cambodians don’t approve of exploiting female flesh for money. Obama takes presidential oath again after stumble

WASHINGTON – After the flub heard around the world, President Barack Obama has taken the oath of office. Again. Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the oath to Obama on Wednesday night at the White House — a rare do-over. The surprise moment came in response to Tuesday’s much-noticed stumble, when Roberts got the words of the oath a little off, which prompted Obama to do so, too.

The original, bungled version on Tuesday caught observers by surprise and then got replayed on cable news shows.

It happened when Obama interrupted Roberts midway through the opening line, in which the president repeats his name and solemnly swears.

Next in the oath is the phrase ” … that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States.” But Roberts rearranged the order of the words, not saying “faithfully” until after “president of the United States.”

That appeared to throw Obama off. He stopped abruptly at the word “execute.”

Recognizing something was off, Roberts then repeated the phrase, putting “faithfully” in the right place but without repeating “execute.”

But Obama then repeated Roberts’ original, incorrect version: “… the office of president of the United States faithfully.”
