Isaiah 47 : 12- 15

12Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.

13Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

14Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

15Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

Deuteronomy 18:9-11

9When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

JESUS IS LOVE

Father
Help Your children
And don’t let them fall
By the side of the road, mmm…mmm…

And teach them
To love one another
That Heaven might find
A place in their hearts

‘Cause Jesus is love
He won’t let you down
And I know He’s mine forever
Oh, in my heart

We’ve got to walk on
Walk on through temptation
‘Cause His love and His wisdom
Will be our helpin’ hand

And I know the Truth
And His words will be our salvation
Lift up our hearts
To be thankful and glad

That Jesus is love
He won’t let you down
And I know He’s mine
Deep down in my soul

Jesus is love
Oh, yes, He is
He won’t let you down
And I know He’s mine, He’s mine, He’s mine, He’s mine, all mine
Forever, oh, in my heart
Help me, heart, heart
Ooh…ooh…

(Deep in my heart)
I know, I know, I know, I know
Ah, ’cause His love’s the power (Power)
His love’s the glory (Glory)
Forever (Ever and ever)

Ooh, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Ooh, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Ooh, yeah, yeah (Yeah, yeah)

I wanna follow your star
Wherever it leads me
And I don’t mind, Lord
I hope you don’t mind

I wanna walk with you
And talk with you
And do all the things you want me to do
‘Cause I know that Jesus

(Jesus is Love, I know) ‘Cause I know, Lord
(And if you ask, I’ll show)
(Love is the word forever) And ever and ever

Who can bring you love (Jesus)
Who can bring you joy (Jesus)
Who can turn your life around (Jesus), oh

Ooh, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Hey

Who will pick you up (Jesus)
When you fall (Jesus)
Who’ll stand beside you (Jesus)
Who will love us all

Hey, hey, Jesus (Yeah, yeah)
Jesus (Yeah, yeah)
Oh, yeah (Yeah, yeah)

One thing I wanna say
Who can heal your body (Jesus)
Who can make you strong (Jesus)
Who can help you to hold out (Jesus)
A little while longer

Ooh, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Jesus loves you (Yeah, yeah), Jesus wants you
If you call Him, He will answer

(Jesus) Call him in the mornin’
(Jesus) Call him in the evenin’
(Jesus) Call him in the midnight hour

Hey, hey (Yeah, yeah)
Yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Yeah, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
Yeah, y’all say it for me

(Jesus is love)

What was Important to Jesus

Word spread throughout Jerusalem that Jesus was coming. The crowds had heard about His wonderful teachings and the miracles Heperformed, how He raised Lazarus from the dead. And they welcomed Himwith a triumphal shout, “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of theLord, even the King of Israel.” It was a time of excitement and eventhe Pharisees conceded, “look, the world has gone after Him” (vs. 12-19).

But, soon afterward, when Philip met in private with Jesus, He didnot talk like a conqueror. Instead of talking about power, He spokeabout being a servant. Instead of talking about life, He talked aboutdeath. He was not planning a revolt or plotting a movement. Instead,He said that the only way to bear fruit was to be like a grain ofwheat that falls into the ground and dies.
While Palm Sunday reminds us why we need to fill our lives withpraise for Jesus, we also need to reflect on what was important toHim that day. He knew that popularity and worldly success aretemporary conditions. But if we want our lives to bear fruit, we needto commit everything to Him, sow seeds with the resources we havebeen given, be a living sacrifice, serve Him faithfully, and followHim wherever He leads us.

Today, focus your life on serving Jesus. If you do, God will honoryou, and He will bring meaning for your life and make you fruitful

Recognizing What Battles to Fight

Not every battle is worth fighting. Many of the challenges that come our way are simply distractions trying to lure us from our destiny. When we have opportunities to get upset, maybe somebody is talking about us, or a competitor at work is spreading rumors, or our spouse says something that they shouldn’t have, we ought to stop and ask ourselves, “If I engage in this battle and spend my time and energy trying to straighten somebody out, defending myself, arguing with a family member, trying to prove that I’m right, even if I win this battle what is the prize going to be? What is this fight going to accomplish?”

You see, there are a lot of battles that come across our lives each day, but they simply aren’t worth the fight. The end result is strife and disharmony.

Proverbs 20:3 says, “Avoiding a fight is mark of honor.” If you want to honor God and enjoy your life, decide to be a peacemaker. Be the kind of person that will avoid an unnecessary fight.
If you’ll be disciplined to fight the battles that do matter, and take the focus off of those that are less important, not only will your relationships be better and your home full of peace, but God will bless you because where there is peace and unity, God commands a blessing.

Give me a sign now !!!

On a Saturday night several weeks ago, one pastor was working late, and decided to call his wife before he left for home. It was about 10:00 PM, but his wife didn’t answer the phone. The pastor let the phone ring many times. He thought it was odd that she didn’t answer, but decided to wrap up a few things and try again in a few minutes. When he tried again she answered right away. He asked her why she hadn’t answered before, and she said that it hadn’t rung at their house. They brushed it off as a fluke and went on their merry ways.

The following Monday, the pastor received a call at the church office, which was the phone that he’d used that Saturday night. The man that he spoke with wanted to know why he’d called on Saturday night. The pastor couldn’t figure out what the man was talking about. Then the man said, ‘It rang and rang, but I didn’t answer.’ The pastor remembered the mishap and apologized for disturbing him, explaining that he’d intended to call his wife and that the whole episode was one off calling the wrong number. The man said, ‘That’s, OK.

Let me tell you my story. You see, I was planning to commit suicide on Saturday night, but before I did, I prayed, ‘God if you’re there, and you don’t want me to do this, give me a sign now.’ At that point my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID, and it said, ‘Almighty God’. I was afraid to answer!’ The reason why it showed on the man’s caller ID that the call came from ‘Almighty God’ is because the church that the pastor works in is called Almighty God Tabernacle!!

Looking unto Jesus and press Forward …..

Looking unto Jesus and press Forward …..

Paul gives us specific directions for living each day. Paul in Philippians says,But I do concentrate on this: I leave the past behind and with hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead I go straight for the goal – my reward the honour of being called by God in Christ. Phil 3:13-If you have ever been to a circus, you’ve no doubt seen the huge bull elephants chained to a peg in the ground.

Perhaps it has occurred to you that the elephant could easily pull the peg out of the ground and escape. However, he does not try. As a baby elephant he was tied to a huge stake that he could not pull out of the ground. Weeks of pulling and tugging only wore a trench around the stake, and finally he gave up. Now that he is full-grown, with great strength and the physical ability to pull the peg out of the ground, he remembers only the futility of past efforts, past failure, past bad experiences, past life and does not even attempt to escape. He is conditioned to failure.

Don’t live like an elephant tied up with past, use If you are straining forward to what is ahead this New Year, let us make a fresh start and forget the things that may have been holding us back in the past. And also paul says in Heb 12:1-let us strip off everything that hinders us, as well as the sin which dogs our feet, and let us run the race that we have to run with patience, our eyes fixed on Jesus the source and the goal of our faith.

This year let us fix our eyes on Jesus and run this race of 365 days of success,8760 hours of good health, 52,600 minutes of peace 31,53,600 seconds of joy.
