Bad Carbohydrates

Definition : Carbohydrates are one of the main dietary components. This category of foods includes sugars, starches, and fiber.


Alternative Names : Starches; Simple sugars; Sugars; Complex carbohydrates; Diet – carbohydrates; Simple carbohydrates
Function : The primary function of carbohydrates is to provide energy for the body, especially the brain and the nervous system. An enzyme called amylase helps break down carbohydrates into glucose

Good Protein: Low fat milk, beans, green peas, lean beef, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese, yogurt, nuts, peanut butter, cottage cheese, tofu and soy products

TONGUE CLEANERS

Why don’t people in America clean their tongues ?? Many people don’t even know the concept of tongue cleaning and tongue cleaners used to clean tongue’s. Also you don’t see tongue cleaners in pharmacies or in Dental stores.People floss and brush teeth , even dentists are bothered just about the teeth. No one takes care of the tongue …its just disgusting and unhygienic to not clean the tongue …why doesnt that ring a bell ?? If that doesn’t bad breath at least should !!!!!!!

A tongue cleaner (also called a tongue scraper or tongue brush) is an oral hygiene device designed to clean the bacterial build-up, food debris, fungi, and dead cells from the surface of the tongue. The bacteria and fungi that grow on the tongue are related to many common oral care and general health problems. In addition, decaying bacteria produce volatile sulphur compounds on the rear of the tongue; these molecules are the main cause of halitosis (bad breath).
Some people say they use their tooth brush to clean their tongue , but toothbrushes are not effective for this purpose because they are designed for brushing the teeth, which have a solid structure unlike the spongy tissue of the tongue.


Usage :
After flossing and brushing your teeth, rinse the tongue cleaner with fresh water. Extend your tongue and place the tongue cleaner at the back of the tongue. Pull forward while pushing down gently. Repeat if necessary. When finished, simply rinse off the tongue cleaner and keep it clean for optimum oral hygiene.

Regarding the origins of tongue cleaning, it is known that they have been used since ancient times in India and China.
