Matthew Chapter 4

The temptation of Christ(1-11)
The opening of Christ’s ministry in Galilee(12-17)
Call of Simon and others(18-22)
Jesus teaches and works miracles(23-25)
He healed every sickness or disease; none was too bad; none too hard, for Christ to heal with a word. Three diseases are named; the palsy, which is the greatest weakness of the body; lunacy, which is the greatest malady of the mind; and possession of the devil, which is the greatest misery and calamity of both; yet Christ healed all, and by thus curing bodily diseases, showed that his great errand into the world was to cure spiritual maladies. Sin is the sickness, disease, and torment of the soul: Christ came to take away sin, and so to heal the soul.

3 times jesus says that it is written in Verse 4, Verse 7 and verse 10. Jesus referenced these verses from Deyt 8:3;Deut 6:16 and Deut 6:13

Satan also refers to the Written word in Verse 6 , here satan recalls the words of David in Psalm 91:11,12
Look how slyly satan also uses The Word of God to convince Jesus…if he can go to Jesus with the Word he can come to us with the Word with a disguise thats why its very important for us to be alert and wise and have open eyes and discerning spirit.

Vs 11 says Devil left him..Devil tried 3 times and Jesus resisted the Devil 3 times with the word of God.Ressit the devil and he will flee from you , Just like Jesus did we should do.

Prayer vs talking

Popular saying In India— ” If you share your problems with others then the pain reduces “

That is pure junk …people just want to know what is going on with you so they can gossip …many so called friends do this to many of us …we need a SPIRIT of Discernment to know who is who ( that’s a different subject)

But the only person you should tell or talk to about your problem is JESUS CHRIST !!!!!!

22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

In God we Trust

Do u really truth God or dollar(s) bill ???

Salmon P. Chase was the Secretary of the Treasury and he received thousands of requests from believers suggesting that the country express devotion to God by adding this phrase to our money.

The first request came in a letter on November 13, 1861 by Rev. M. R. Watkinson of Ridleyville, Pennsylvania. In a letter dated November 20, 1861, Secretary Chase instructed the director of the Philadelphia mint insert the motto:

“Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins. You will cause a device to be prepared without unnecessary delay with a motto expressing in the fewest and tersest words possible this national recognition. It was found that the Act of Congress dated January 18, 1837, prescribed the mottoes and devices that should be placed upon the coins of the United States.”

Pollock suggested “Our Trust Is In God,” “Our God And Our Country,” “God And Our Country,” and “God Our Trust.” Chase picked “In God We Trust.” The motto first appeared on our coins in 1864 and by 1909 it was included on most all coins. During the height of the cold war, on July 11, 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed Public Law 140 making it mandatory that all coinage and paper currency display the motto.

The Bible says:

“It is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in man” (Psalm 118:8).

“It is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works” (Psalm 73:28 NKJV).

Jesus Remembers You

During President Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign in 1979, a woman of about 80 spoke out from the audience at the end of one of his campaign speeches. “Mr. Reagan, everything you’ve said sounds just fine. But what about the old folks? Haven’t you forgotten us?” The man who was to become the oldest president of the United States smiled down at her and replied, “Forget you? Heavens, how could I… ever forget you? I am one of you.”

WORD became flesh to be one of us. No matter what your situation is dont think God forgot you. HE became one of us to redeem us and to save us. Remember his promise ” I will never leave you or forsake you “. God has not forgotten you or me.Don’t listen to the enemy or anyone telling you that God has forgotten you or your situation. He Loves us unconditionally and with that Kind of Love HE CAN’T forget us. Remember his promises.

—- I will never leave you or forsake you– Deut 31:6

—- God is faithful– 1 Cor 1:9

—- God is True , keeping his covenant of Love to a thousand generations — Deut 7:9

—- But the lord is faithful and he will strengthen and protect you– 2 Thess 3:3

—- I have carved you in the palm of my hand — Isaiah 49:16

There are many more promises ..these came to my mind as I write , I write this first to encourage myself. Hope this helps you in your situation as well.

What a mighty God we serve … THE ONLY LIVING GOD !!!
